About Me - Chris Armstrong Wedding Photographer
Meet Chris Armstrong - Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Relaxed, Story-Driven Wedding Photography

I’m a Cornwall-based wedding photographer specialising in laid-back, documentary-style images. I cover weddings across the South West (and beyond), capturing real moments—big laughs, quiet looks, dodgy dance moves and everything in between. This is honest storytelling and relaxed portraits that actually feel like you—no awkward posing, no forced smiles.

Before photography, I spent 19 years as an Armed Response Police Officer. Bit of a change, but the skills carry over—staying calm under pressure, reading the room, knowing when to blend in or step up. And having seen a lot of life, I know how important it is to capture real emotion and preserve memories of the people we love.

I’ve been shooting weddings for over five years now and have built a reputation as a calm, reliable presence that people genuinely enjoy having around. You’ll usually find me blending in with your guests, cracking a quiet joke, helping fix a buttonhole, or catching that one tear your dad tried to hide.

“Stop what you are doing and book Chris for your wedding RIGHT NOW!

He was amazing and our friends and family are still talking about him 2 months after the wedding. Honestly, if you aren’t booking Chris, you are missing out.”

Why It’s Not Just About the Photos

Great wedding photography is about trust…

It’s about feeling like the person behind the camera truly sees you, understands what matters to you, and will look out for you on one of the biggest days of your life.

Yes, you’ll get gorgeous, natural images that tell the story of your day. But more than that, you’ll get someone who fits in, helps out, keeps things calm, and makes the whole thing feel easy. Someone who adds to the day — not takes over it.

And yes, I promise to make it fun too.
